You can spend months changing your body. One weekend can change what you expect from yourself.
That was true for Colby and Julie, even though they walked into SHX25 in completely different stages of their transformations. Colby was only a few months into Supra Human, still early enough to know there would be people in the room much further along than he was. Julie had already reached the weight-loss goal she came in with and assumed she more or less knew where her journey was headed.
Neither went to SHX expecting the weekend to completely change the way they saw what was possible for themselves. But that is exactly what happened. Colby left with a bigger standard to chase. Julie left realizing the finish line she thought she had reached was really only the beginning.
Colby Went Before He Had the Transformation Story
When Colby arrived at SHX25, he knew exactly where he stood.
He was still new. There would be people around him with years of progress behind them, dramatic transformations, and accomplishments he wasn’t close to reaching yet. It would have been easy to tell himself he would go the following year, when he had more progress to show for the work.
But after hearing Supra Human Founder John Madsen repeatedly talk about the value of attending SHX early in the process, Colby decided there was no option, he needed to attend.
“Honestly, I wasn’t hesitant about going to SHX 2025, even though I was only a few months into my program and I knew I would be surrounded by people much further along in theirs,” Colby says. “I was hoping to find something to fuel the goals in my own program, and see if the community I’d seen in the app was real in person.”
He expected great speakers, some motivation and, in his words, maybe a little of the usual event fluff. Instead, he learned lessons that followed him home.
Two ideas in particular stayed with him. The first was the question of what his mediocrity could be costing his family. The second was the reminder that standards don’t disappear simply because you’re tired, busy, or don’t feel like showing up that day.
Colby had made a promise to his wife and daughter that he was finally going to change his physical condition with this program. Those lessons he took from SHX25 solidified that promise and kept him going, even on the hard days.

“Those two ideas are a big part of what kept me disciplined on the days that were hardest,” he says.
He set another goal for himself at SHX that would propel him through the next year. He told his coach, Jake, that he would be inducted into the Supra Human Hall of Fame at the next SHX in 2026.
The real impact of SHX for him was the inspiration to keep raising his standard. That event gave him tools to remind him to show up on ordinary days when no one is watching. He followed the plan, he trusted his coach, and decided that the standard he set for himself at SHX25 actually meant something.
This October in Orlando, he will return having done exactly what he set out to do.
The person who walked into SHX wondering what he could take from being around people further ahead of him will walk back into that room as one of the people someone else may look at and think, I want to do what he did.
We cannot wait to watch him take that stage.
Julie Thought She Had Already Reached the Goal
Julie came to SHX from almost the opposite place.
She had joined Supra Human in February and, eight months later, had already reached her weight-loss goal. She felt better. She had learned how to fuel herself and train properly, and she had built a relationship with her coach, Joe, that had become an important part of her transformation.
More than anything, she wanted to finally meet Joe face-to-face.
“Part of the success of this program is the relationship that is built with your coach, and I had hoped to grow that relationship,” Julie says.
She got to do exactly that. What she didn’t expect is that meeting her coach ended up being only one part of what stayed with her.
For the first time, Julie was surrounded by hundreds of people living some version of the same experience she was. Some were only beginning their journeys like Colby. Some were somewhere in the messy middle. Others had completely transformed themselves and were chasing goals that went far beyond losing weight.
Suddenly, what she had been doing largely inside her own life felt much bigger.
“Surrounding myself with other people that were going through the same transformation, regardless of whatever stage they were in, was such validation that I was where I was meant to be and surrounded by the right people,” she says.
That feeling came at exactly the right time because Julie had started wondering whether her own Supra Human story was nearly finished.

Her year would be up in four months and she felt she might have done what she needed and didn’t know what else was left. She had lost weight, she knew how to lift, and she finally understood nutrition. She had accomplished the thing she came here to accomplish.
In her words, “What else is there?”
SHX25 gave her the answer.
“What I learned at SHX was that weight loss is great but just the beginning of what is a lifelong, permanent shift,” Julie says.
She could see her transformation as something bigger than a goal she could check off. This could become the way she lived. There was more strength to build, more to learn, more she wanted for herself and, eventually, more she wanted for her family too.
Julie had arrived assuming this would probably be her only SHX. She left and signed up for another two years with Supra Human and enrolled her daughter for her first year.
“I filled my soul and was all in for this bright future,” she says.
You Need To Be In The Room
The Supra Human community exists long before anyone steps into SHX. Clients talk to their coaches every week. They connect with other members inside the app. They celebrate wins and see proof every day of what people are capable of.
But there is something different about seeing it all around you.
Julie had worried about walking into an event without really knowing anyone. Instead, she found herself surrounded by people who understood why this mattered to her without needing much explanation.
“You don’t have to have hit goals or milestones, and you don’t have to feel like you need to earn your spot,” she says. “It’s for everyone that made the decision that it was time to invest in themselves, and it’s liberating to surround yourself with people on the same mission.”
Maybe that is the simplest way to explain who SHX is for.
It’s not only for the people already standing on the stage. It’s for the person sitting in the audience inspired to be up there next year. It’s not only for someone at the end of a dramatic transformation. It’s for the person three months in who still has a long road ahead, and for the person who just reached the goal they thought would make them feel finished.
Colby went before he had achieved the thing he wanted most and left with a bigger goal. Julie went after achieving what she thought was the goal and discovered there was an entirely different version of her future still waiting.
One needed to see what was possible. The other needed to see how much possibility was still ahead.
This October, people will walk into SHX from every point along that same spectrum. Some will step onto the stage. Some will watch from their seats and quietly decide that next year they want their name called. Some will hug their coach for the first time. Others will hear one story, have one conversation, or watch someone else’s journey celebrated and take a completely different standard home with them.
You don’t know which moment will become the one you remember months later, on some random difficult Tuesday when it would be easier not to follow through.
You just have to be in the room long enough to find it.
Colby can now say that from experience…
“If you are a new member and wondering if you are ready for SHX, you are. Go.”
